Conor McGregor has recently announced a possible date for the huge trilogy fight with Nate Diaz later this year.

The ‘Notorious’ one and Diaz make up one of the UFC’s biggest rivalries, with the pair having fought twice in the past. The American shocked the world beating McGregor on UFC 196, but the Irishman redeemed himself beating Diaz at UFC 202.

The first fight between the two is the second highest pay per view in the UFC’s history with 1.6 million buys, second only to McGregor v Khabib on 2.4 million. The much anticipated third fight looks like it is in the works.

McGregor was very active tweeting during last night’s UFC 234 bout headlined by Israel Adesanya and legend Anderson Silva. Following the main event Silva hinted at a rematch with Nick Diaz in Brazil.

Two legends of the sport who last fought in 2015. Although this is huge news, it was the response of McGregor to the fight that got people talking.

He responded to the UFC’s tweet with “Book it. I’ll fight Nate on it.”

Needless to say the internet went into complete melt down, with many fans posting hilarious reactions to the possible fight news.

Currently, Conor is serving a six month suspension for his part in the post fight brawl at UFC 229, which saw him attacked in the cage by members of Khabib’s team. The fight card in question, UFC 237 is scheduled for the 11th of May in Curitiba, Brazil.

McGregor had recently stated he would love to fight in Brazil, with his suspension over just in time and the power he has in picking his fights, this could very well happen.
