It’s almost time for the festive season to set in. Decorations, guests, gifts and of course, mouthwatering festive food. But this year give the usual samosas and kachoris a miss for these fun snacks!

Food influencer Reshu Drolia, who’s also known as, mintsrecipes on Instagram has an array of recipes. Her page showcases some quick, simple and delightful dishes fit for any occasion. Spruce up your chai time menu with these tasty treats! 

Pinwheel Samosa

This different take on the classic samosa has all the goodness of the original with the added advantage of small bite sized portions – making for the perfect tea-time snack!

Pin Wheel Samosa😀😀 😀Follow @mintsrecipes ❤️ . Ingredients: For making dough: • 2 cups of all purpose flour • 1/3 cup Suji • ½ tsp salt • 3 tsp oil • ¾ tsp Carom seed • 2 tbsp all purpose flour For stuffing: • 5 medium sized boiled & mashed potatoes • 1/3 cup Green peas, boiled • Coriander leaves • 3/4 tsp Red chilly powder • 1/4 tsp Garam masala • 3/4 tsp Coriander powder • 1/4 tsp Cumin seed • ½ tsp Mango powder • Salt to taste • 3/4 tsp Cumin powder • ½ inch piece of ginger, grated • 2 pieces of chopped green chilly • Oil to Fry How to make: • Take a large bowl and pour maida, semolina, salt, oil and carom seed. By adding sufficient water make stiff but pliable dough. • Now cover it with wet cloth and leave it for 15-20 minutes. To make stuffing: • Take a deep bowl and put potatoes, ginger, green chilly, coriander leaves, mango powder, red chilly powder, garam masala, cumin powder, cumin seed and green peas. • Mix all the ingredients. • Divide the mixture into 3 parts and keep aside. Flour paste/batter: • Take a deep bowl and put all purpose flour and make a thin batter by adding water. • Mix it well till no lumps. For making pinwheels: • After 15 minutes uncover the dough and knead it again for few minutes. • Divide the dough into three equal portions. • Now take one ball from the dough and roll the ball in the palms of your hands and flatten it. • Roll the dough ball evenly and thinly. • Take one part of the mixture and spread it evenly over the rolled chapatti. • lift the chapatti from one side and roll it nicely until you have firm log. Apply the water on the edges and seal the ends tightly. • Take each slice of pinwheel samosa and press each pieces gently to make flat so that the inner filling looks like a pinwheel. • Repeat the same process. • Heat oil in a pan on medium high heat. • Dip each Pinwheels Samosa one by one with flour paste and drop them slowly • Fry the Pinwheels Samosa until they are golden brown on medium low flame, turning occasionally. • Take them out. • Repeat the same process • Deep fry pinwheels samosa are ready, #snacks #indiansnacks #indianfood #vegetarianfood

Ingredients: 1 cup boiled Kabuli chana 1 cup boiled grated potatoes 1 big onion chopped 2 green chilies chopped 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp. ajwain 1/2 tsp. chana masala 1/2 tsp dry mango powder 1/2 tsp. garam masala 1/2 tsp cumin powder 1/2 tsp coriander powder 1/2 red chili powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp. fresh mint leaves 2 tbsp. fresh coriander leaves 1 tsp lemon juice 2-3 tbsp. gram flour Oil for fry . How to make: Take bowl and add boiled Kabuli chana and mash them with a wooden spoon. Just make a semi coarse mixture not too smooth. Now add boiled grated potatoes, chopped onion, green chilies, cumin seeds, ajwain, chana masala, dry mango powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, black pepper, turmeric powder, fresh mint leaves, coriander leaves, lemon juice, add gram flour and make a dough. Take some oil on hand and take a small part of dough and make small size balls and make kebab. Now heat pan add oil and place the kabab in the pan. Shallow fry the kababs in medium hot oil till it becomes crisp and brown on both sides. Once done, then drain the kababs on kitchen paper napkins to remove excess oil. Masala Corn in Papad Cone😀😀⠀ Follow @mintsrecipes⠀ .⠀ Ingredients:⠀ • 2-3 Papad⠀ • 200 grams boiled Sweet corn Kernels⠀ • Finely Chopped Coriander leaves⠀ • 1 tsp lemon juice⠀ • Salt as per taste⠀ • 1/2 tsp black salt⠀ • 3/4 tsp chaat Masala⠀ • 1/2 tsp black pepper⠀ • 1/4 cup grated Carrot,⠀ • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions ⠀ • 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes⠀ ⠀ Instructions:⠀ 1. Fold papad and divide it into two equal parts to make semicircle.⠀ 2. To roast papad, heat tawa on medium flame, once tawa becomes little hot put one part of papad and roast it by pressing it slightly with spatula from both the sides. It takes around 2-3 minutes⠀ 3. Once both the sides get roasted, take out the papad from the pan on kitchen towel and immediately roll it into the shape of cone.⠀ 4. Repeat the same process for rest of the papad.⠀ ⠀ To make masala corns:⠀ 1. Put boiled sweet corn kernels in a bowl.⠀ 2. Now add grated carrot, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, black salt, chaat masala, black pepper, salt, lemon juice, coriander leaves and mix all the ingredients until well combined.⠀ 3. Masala corn is ready.⠀ 4. Now fill all the papad cones with the prepared masala corn mixture.⠀ 5. No meal or occasion is complete without a dessert. While we love our mithais this Tutty Fruity Cake made in a pressure cooker is a lighter and equally delectable option.

Tutty Fruity Cake in pressure cooker😍 Easy hai? . Tutty Fruity cake in pressure cooker Ingredients 11\2 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup curd 1\2 tsp. soda 1½ tsp. baking powder 1 cup sugar powdered 1\2 cup oil 1 tsp. vanilla essence 1\2 cup Tutty Fruity 2 tbsp. raisins 1 tsp flour for coating . Method: Fill the cooker with 11/2 -2 cups of salt till 1 1/2 inches and place the plate or any stand on top of it. So that while baking cake will not get burn from downwards. Put the lid on top of the pressure cooker and preheat the cooker for 5-10 minutes on medium flame with the salt. Meanwhile let’s prepare our cake batter. . To make batter in a mixing bowl add sugar and curd; mix it well by using whisk until smooth and creamy. Add baking powder, baking soda and mix it well. Leave for 3-4 minutes to ferment. After 3 minutes add oil, vanilla essence into curd mix and beat well. Now add flour and mix well until the batter becomes smooth. Take a tbsp. of dry flour and Coat tutti fruity, raisins with flour so that it will not sink after baking. Add coated tutty fruity, raisins with flour batter and mix it well. Batter is ready Grease the tin with oil or butter and dust with flour. Pour the batter inside the greased mould and tap it to remove air bubbles. Pour some tutty fruity, raisins on top. Now the batter is ready to bake. Now, keep the flame on medium low and place the tin with the cake batter carefully inside the cooker onto stand. Close the cooker, remove the whistle and bake the cake on medium low heat for 30-35 minutes or till a knife/toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Check the cake with a tooth pick, the tooth pick should come out clean. If the tooth pick is sticky, then again cover the lid of pressure cooker and continue to bake for some more minutes. Remove it from the pressure cooker and keep aside to cool for 10 minutes. Once it cools down a bit, scratch the sides of the pan, invert the tin and tap sharply to unmould the cake .
