Be it jumping continents and becoming a global star to opening a restaurant in the heart of New York city, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has never abandoned her roots. After opening the fine dining restaurant SONA in March 2021 that boasts Indian-inspired decor and a carefully curated menu, Chopra Jonas, together with her business partner Maneesh Goyal, has launched a homeware collection—SONA Home.

All about PC’s new homeware line ‘SONA Home’

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has said that she perceives her company SONA as a holistic approach to hospitality rather than a mere product or service. SONA Home is no different.

It has manifested out of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Maneesh Goyal’s love for hosting and entertaining. They bonded over their shared love for representing Indian culture on a global level in an elegant and exquisite way.

The homeware line consists of a 45-piece set of tableware, including table linens, coffee mugs, lamp shades, serving bowls, dishes, candelabras, wine coasters, and gilded bottle coolers. Chopra Jonas told Elle Decor that she is particularly fond of the gilded wine coolers and keeps them on her bar at every gathering or party.

In an Instagram video, Chopra Jonas spoke about what inspired her to come up with a homeware line that pays a tribute to her Indian roots. She revealed that she and Goyal love hosting, and the collection proudly denotes the essence of the age-old Indian belief ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ (a guest is equivalent to God).

The colour scheme and the motifs on the dinnerware carry illustrations of animals like tigers, deer, monkeys, etc. Palm trees on ramekins and mugs draw inspiration from the rich flora and fauna of India.

The collection also includes lampshades that are made from recycled sarees. The textiles used for making table linens are elevated with intricate geometric patterns, textures, and motifs. These motifs, including pillars and arches, are inspired from the magnificent palaces of Rajasthan.

Priyanka’s love of palaces shows up in SONA Home

Priyanka Chopra Jonas told Vogue that she loves the grand theme since she got married in a palace in Rajasthan. She also said that they form the best of luxury and traditional opulence: “Their pillars, their domes—there’s something really beautiful about them. I got married at one, they’re luxurious but also steeped in heritage.”

Currently, SONA Home is available in the USA and Canada. They will begin international shipping soon. Keep an eye on their website and official Instagram page for further updates.
