Ah, Pinterest: a rabbit hole of procrastination. The place where we go to dream big. We fancy ourselves pastry chefs and professional crafters only to be let down once we move beyond the inspiration boards and into the kitchen. Things can get real, real fast. You know you’ve seen the hilarious (if not, bless-her-heart warranting) old college tries of which we’re referring. Chances are, you also have a few personal war stories that you chose not to document. Good choice. Luckily, one of fall 2018’s biggest Pinterest trends requires zero craftiness of your own. All you need to do is book an appointment with your hairstylist.

This week, Pinterest released their 2018 Lifestyle and Health Trends, proving Pinners are ready for a fall makeover. Searches for “classic bob” haircut came out on top of the beauty category, also making it to the top of the global search list. It seems everyone is looking to lighten up this season.

One of the things we love most about the bob haircut is its versatility. The bob haircut varieties that are currently popping on inspiration boards include super short bobs, lobs, and long-layered options that flatter just about everyone. To be frank, we’ve never bet a bob we didn’t like.

The most popular photo, perhaps of all the countless bob inspiration photos floating around the Pinosphere, is this blunt version featuring a severe side part and subtle caramel highlights. It’s positively dreamy.

Fall is all about change, whether we’re talking about changing seasons, changing leaves, or changing looks. Give the classic bob a try and we guarantee you won’t find yourself looking back for a minute.
