The domestic stocks markets were trading with a marginal loss with a negative bias in the early afternoon trade on Tuesday. At 12:55 pm, S&P BSE Sensex was trading 80.50 points or 0.15% lower at 52,248.01. The Nifty 50 index was trading 27.45 points or 0.17% lower at 15,724.20. Meanwhile, certain stocks were in action in either direction based on reports linked to them. Here is a list of few such stocks:

Piramal Enterprises: Up 7.15%. Continues to surge post-DGFL resolution. 

Tyre Stocks: Are in action on reports that Michellin will hike tyre prices in India. Stocks like JK tyre – up 2.66%, Goodyear India – 0.47%, Apollo Tyres – up 0.15%, were trading up. 

Power Stocks: Rally again. Stocks like Adani Power: Up 14.89%., Tata Power: Up 3.57%, Torrent Power – up 2.95%, NTPC – 1.46% among others were trading with gains. 

Coastal Corporation: Up 18.07%. The stock has risen 355 since recommendation as a Birthday pick by Anil Singhvi, Managing Editor, Zee Business, on June 2, 2021. 

New High and 52-week highs

Happiest Minds: Buzzing and trading 4.96% higher. The stock was 6% high earlier, which was a 52-week high mark of 948.45. 

Mindtree: up 0.79%. Earlier in the day, the stock was stuck at the 52-week high mark of 2,464.

KPR Mills: Buzzing and trading 5.60% higher. Earlier in the day, the stock hit the 52-week high of 1,695 levels earlier in the day. 

Laurus Labs: Buzzing and trading 6.70% higher. Earlier in the day, the stock hit the 52-week high of 612.85 levels earlier in the day. 

Grindwell Norton: Up 1.25%. Earlier in the day, the stock hit the 52-week high of 1330.40 levels earlier in the day.

Earnings Impact

Jubilant Ingrevia: Down 2.11%. The integrated global pharmaceutical and life sciences company has reported a 98% YoY rise in the profit at Rs 95 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021, compared to a profit of Rs 48 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. 

Union Bank of India: Up 0.28%. The public sector bank (PSB) has reported a standalone profit of Rs 1,330 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It incurred a loss of Rs 7,157 crore in the same quarter posted last year

New India Assurance: Down 0.57%. The insurance company has reported 1.9 times YoY rise in profit at Rs 241 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had posted a profit of Rs 126 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. 

Bector Foods: Up 2.33%. The company has reported a 41% YoY rise in the consolidated profit at Rs 12.7 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. It had reported a profit of Rs 9 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. 

Stocks in News

Shriram Transport Finance: Up 0.41%. Vehicle financier on Monday said that its board has approved raising funds through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) offering and capital infusion from its promoter entity Shriram Capital Ltd. The company has fixed a floor price of Rs 1,433.32 apiece (discount of 3.7% to CMP of 1,487 per share) for the QIP offering. Besides, the board has also approved the proposal to raise up to Rs 500 crore by issuance of Equity Shares and Warrants to Shriram Capital Limited, Promoter of the Company, on a preferential basis. The Floor Price of the equity shares and warrants has been fixed at Rs 1,439.90 per equity share and Rs 1,439.90 per warrant.

Anjani Portland Cement: Buzzing and trading 4.76% higher. The company has acquired 82.51% stakes of the Bhavya Cements Private Limited for Rs 607 crore. With this acquisition, Bhavya Cements Private Limited has now become a subsidiary of Anjani Portland Cement Limited. 

Private Hospital Stocks: Trading with a fall as the government has announced a change in vaccine policy effective from June 21, 2021, and capped the services charge up to Rs 150 per dose besides the vaccine cost. Shares like Apollo Hospitals (down 0.90%), Fortis Health (down 0.35%) and Max Health (down 0.95%) were trading low from the previous closing.  

IOC: State-owned Indian Oil Corporation said it has signed up an investment pact for adding petrochemical and lube plants to its previously announced plan to expand crude oil processing capacity at its Koyali refinery at Vadodara in Gujarat.

Info Edge: Up 0.46%. Few of the websites of the company, namely, and, faced intermittent outages since morning on June 7, 2021, and the issue has been resolved.
