December has started and, in case you are not familiar, it is the time for us to take a look at the best phones and revisit our buying guides. Today, it is the turn of gaming phones. Gamers need a phone that brings the best mix of specifications and features at an aggressive price. When you think of a phone like that, the first few brands that will come to your mind are Realme and Redmi and rightly so.

Realme and Redmi sell some of the best gaming smartphones, no matter the price range. Today, we are looking at the top gaming phones under Rs 15,000. Now, these phones are essentially a middle ground between entry-level, affordable phones with big batteries and mid-range phones that emphasise speed and display performance more. For games such as Battlegrounds Mobile India and PUBG: New State, these phones will be bang for your buck, and you should check them out before your next purchase.

Redmi Note 10T 5G

Redmi's Note lineup has been its best-seller in India, and the company makes sure that it keeps adding new phones to it just so customers never run out of options. The recent addition was Redmi Note 11T 5G but it crosses the Rs 15,000 barrier, so we check out the Redmi Note 10T 5G, which the company launched earlier this year.

The Redmi Note 10T 5G comes with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with up to a 90Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio, MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with up to 6GB RAM, and a 5000mAh battery that will help you have the Chicken Dinner. It costs Rs 14,999 for the entry-level model and we liked the phone for what it brings for that price.

Our verdict: It was about time that Xiaomi had added an affordable 5G smartphone to its portfolio, given that most of its devices till Rs 25,000 (except Mi 10i) only support 4G networks, while the competition has shifted its strategy to 5G. The Redmi Note 10T 5G solves that purpose by offering an option under Rs 15,000.

Realme Narzo 30 5G

Another 5G phone at under Rs 15,000 is the Realme Narzo 30 5G. The Narzo series phones have been touted as gaming phones even though they lack the extra frills that you see on dedicated gaming phones. But if you take a look at the specifications, you are going to be mostly impressed.

The Realme Narzo 30 5G comes with a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Dimensity 700 SoC, the same as the Poco M3 Pro. The smartphone sports a 48-megapixel triple rear camera system and a 16-megapixel camera for selfies on the front. It has a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging support. It costs Rs 14,999.

Poco M3 Pro 5G

The Poco M3 Pro 5G is another amazing phone that offers great value for your money and it is one of our favourites for gaming. The Poco M3 Pro 5G sports a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Dimesity 700 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A 48-megapixel triple rear camera setup and an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies are there, too. The Poco M3 Pro 5G is powered by a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Moto G30

Motorola Moto G30 is the cheapest phone in our list, but do not write it off just yet. It is a budget offering from the brand with a price of Rs 10,999. The Moto G30 features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Snapdragon 662 chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The Moto G30 features a 64-megapixel quad rear camera system and a 13-megapixel selfie camera. It uses a 5000mAh battery with support for 20W charging.
