It’s raining Rs 12,000 phones: From Galaxy F14 to Realme C55, the latest handsets you can buy on a budget
Smartphones have grown so economical that you don’t need to shell out your life savings anymore to enjoy a decent camera and fluid performance. While the Samsungs and iPhones of the world with their six-digit price tags are in a league of their own, things are also very interesting of late on the other end of the spectrum.
A number of phones like the Galaxy F14 5G, Tecno Spark 10 Pro, and Realme C55 have been launched this week alone. And the best part? All three phones are priced at around Rs 12,000. These will be joined soon by the upcoming Moto G13 and the Redmi Note 12 4G, which are also expected to cost around the same. We take a look at these ~Rs 12,000 hotshots below.
Samsung Galaxy F14 5G
Launched on March 24, the Galaxy F14 5G has a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It runs on the Exynos 1330 chipset, which is a 5nm processor that supports 13 5G bands. It has a 6000 mAh battery that can last up to two days and supports 25W fast charging.
The camera setup at the back is 50MP primary + 2MP depth while the front packs a 13MP selfie shooter. The phone runs on One UI 5 based on Android 13 and starts at Rs 12,990.
Tecno Spark 10 Pro
Also launched on March 24, the Tecno Spark 10 Pro has a 6.8-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It has a triple rear camera setup at the back with a 50MP main sensor and a punch-hole cutout for a 32MP selfie camera.
The battery is rated 5000mAh with 18W fast charging. The phone runs on Android 13 with HiOS 12.6 skin on top. It is available in three colours: Lunar Eclipse, Pearl White and Starry Black and starts at Rs 12,499.
Realme C55
Launched on March 22, the Realme C55 has a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 64MP dual rear camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It runs on Android 13 with realme UI 4.0 and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It comes in two colours: Sunshower and Rainy Night. The price of the realme c55 in India starts from ₹10,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant.
Redmi 12C
Set to launch alongside the Redmi Note 12 4G on March 30, the Redmi 12C features a MediaTek Helio G85 processor and has a 6.71-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen. For photography, there's a dual camera setup at the back with a 50MP primary, and in the front, there's a 5MP selfie camera. The Redmi 12C runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and has a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging.
Moto G13
Set to launch on March 29, the Moto G13 has a 6.5-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 50MP triple rear camera, and a 5000mAh battery. It runs on Android 13 and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor.
The phone sports a 50MP primary + 2MP depth + 2MP macro camera setup at the rear while the front has an 8MP shooter. The phone will be available in two colours: Lavender Blue and Matte Charcoal. It is expected to be priced between Rs 10,000 and Rs 11,000.
