How growing up in family of women activists shaped Nodeep Kaur, jailed labour rights campaigner

#NodeepKaurArrest #KisanMazdoorEkta Nodeep Kaur, the 24 year old Dalit labour rights activist, has now spent over a month in Karnal jail after being arrested on 12 January from Singhu border on charges of attempt to murder, theft and extortion. While she has received bail in two cases against her, bail for the third case — where she has been charged with attempt to murder, theft and extortion — remains pending. Her sister, Rajveer Kaur, has confirmed that they will be approaching the Punjab and Haryana High Court regarding the same. ThePrint's Taran Deol and Manisha Mondal travelled to meet Nodeep's family in Punjab to bring you the story of who she is, the family she was raised in and the pivotal role protests have played in her life. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Connect with ThePrint » Subscribe to ThePrint: https://theprint.in/subscribe/ » Subscribe to our YouTube Channel: https://bit.ly/3nCMpht » Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theprintindia » Tweet us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/theprintindia » Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theprintindia » Find us on LinkedIn : https://www.linkedin.com/company/theprint » Subscribe to ThePrint on Telegram: https://t.me/ThePrintIndia » Find us on Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2NMVlnB » Find us on Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/3pEOta8
