Maruti Chairman cautions on EV affordability for entry-level buyers
The country's largest passenger car-maker Maruti Suzuki has been allotted 800 acres of industrial land from Government of Haryana for it's third manufacturing plant in the state. Maruti will be investing more than Rs 18000 crores in the plant. R.C. Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki, in conversation with Chetan Bhutani, Associate Editor, BT TV said that Electric vehicles are not solving the problem of carbon neutrality and entry-level consumers will not be able to purchase EVs.
