Fresh protests broke out in Kashmir on Saturday, May 14, against the killing of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat. Kashmiri Pandit government employees staying in Veerwan transit camp in North Kashmir's Baramulla district protested demanding they be moved to Jammu.

A scuffle broke out in the area between policemen and protesting pandit employees.

Terrorists shot and killed Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat, an employee of the revenue department, in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday afternoon.

On Friday, May 13, two Pakistani terrorists who were involved in Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat's killing were shot down by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in an encounter in North Kashmir's Bandipora district.
