The Central Bureau of Investigation still hasn't received a notification from Haryana's ML Khattar government for further investigation in the case of seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur's murder, ANI reported.

COMPLETE COVERAGE: Ryan school murder case

Pradyuman Thakur was murdered just days ago at Gurgaon's Ryan International School. After furious protests by parents and locals, and relentless media scrutiny, Chief Minister Khattar asked the CBI to probe the incident last week. Pradyuman's parents had called for a CBI probe.

His father, Barun Thakur, wrote to Gurgaon Police to ask that Ryan International School remain closed until the CBI completes an initial probe. He also wrote to the Prime Minister's Office to complain that evidence had been destroyed.

The school reopened yesterday after a 10-day shutdown , but it will now be closed for another week, the Times of India reported.

This time will "be used to upgrade safety in the school and address parents' concerns," the TOI report said quoting a senior Gurgaon administration official.
