ISRO Young Scientist Programme Result 2020: The Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO has declared the results the Yuva Vigyani Karyakram or YUVIKA. All the candidates who appeared for the YUVIKA or ISRO Young Scientist Programme can check the results on the official website of ISRO, the link for which is isro.gov.in . The online registration process of SRO Young Scientist Programme 2020 was held from February 3 to March 5, 2020. Further, three students each from each state/union territory will be selected to participate in this programme covering CBSE, ICSE and State syllabus and five additional seats are reserved for OCI candidates across the country.

In order to check ISRO Young Scientist Programme Result 2020, all the candidates need to log on to the official website of ISRO, the link for which is isro.gov.in . On the homepage, click on the link which says, "Yuvika Young Scientist Programme." Click on, "YUVIKA 2020 - Provisional Selection List Announced." The list of selected candidates for ISRO Young Scientist Programme will be displayed on the screen.

Further, ISRO Young Scientist Programme Result 2020 will be displayed on the screen. Download the results and take print out of the same for future reference.

ISRO Young Scientist Programme Result 2020: Important details

This is the provisional list of selected candidates for the Yuvika 2020 programme. The final selection list of 113 students (including OCI) will be published after the verification of relevant certificates.

The provisionally selected candidates are requested to upload the PDF copy of 8th standard marks card and other relevant certificates by login in the Yuvika portal in ISRO website www.isro.gov.in from March 16, 2020 onwards. The link for uploading the certificates will be available in ISRO website from March 16, 2020 (5 pm) onwards. The last date for uploading the certificates is on March 26, 2020 (6 pm).

ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020: Other details

  • The programme will be of two weeks duration i.e. from May 11 to May 22, 2020
  • Three students from each state and union territory will be selected to participate in the programe
  • Those students who have finished their eighth class and are currently studying in class ninth are eligible for the programme
  • The selection will be based on their academic performance
  • The two-week progamme will be held in four centers of ISRO located in Ahembdabad, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, and Shillong
  • The programme is aimed at providing students basic knowledge of space technology, space science, space application.

ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020: Selection criteria

  • Total: 100%
  • Performance in the 8th Std Examination: 60%
  • Prize in school events conducted by the School or Education board from the year 2016 onwards (like Elocution, Debate, Essay Writing....) at District/State/National/ International Level (The higher level will be considered for weightage): 2/4/6/10%
  • Winners of District/State/National/International Level sports activities conducted by School or Education board from the year 2016 onwards (The higher level will be considered for weightage): 2/4/6/10%
  • Scouts and Guides/NCC/NSS Member - during the current academic year (2019-20): 5%
  • Studying in Rural School (Certificate of proof to this effect to be produced from the head of the school - Criteria: The school, where the candidate is studying should be located in Block/Village Panchayath Area): 15%
