Masterchef India: Two home cooks Gurkirat and Kamaldeep Kaur get eliminated ahead of finale; netizens call it ‘unfair’
Ahead of the Masterchef India finale, two home cooks got eliminated. Gurkirat and Kamaldeep Kaur got evicted in the latest episode and the show got it’s Top 4 – Aruna, Santa, Suvarna and Nayanjyoti.
Judge Vikas Khanna shared a picture with the two eliminated contestants and wrote, “Congrats to our 2 Champions as their new journey begins now. Love & Respect. May you continue to make India proud. Forever V.”
Netizens’ comments
However, netizens were not happy about the Top 4 and they once again called out the judges for being biased towards home chef Aruna. One of them wrote, “Kdk was definitely much much better than Aruna. If not for Ranveer Aruna would have been already out. Aruna was always saved through manipulation and made very limited dishes compared to kdk which included both non veg and veg dishes. In a fair competition Aruna would have to make both veg and non veg dishes as a chef aspirant. Ranveer or any other judges were always treated Aruna with kids gloves and unlike harsh criticism for other contestants Aruna was never subjected to such criticism. It's a highly biased show. Instead of Aruna , Priyanka should have reached this stage if not for Ranveer and his extra care for Aruna.”Another user wrote, “So so so unfair!! This elimination of KDK was such a let down. Do you really kick out a top chef in your restaurant if they mess up one dish? It would have been much better to award points to all finalists for the dishes they cook in finale week and give the trophy to the highest scorer. So conveniently consistency was overlooked based on 1 dish, which by the looks like she did cook well based on judge’s comments. This sucks big time, feel like we wasted months on this show!! #unfair #masterchefindia.”
Actress Meenakshi Sethii wrote, “Wow! That’s awesome!!! But I have one complaint, this show makes it so obvious that we vegetarians will never have a chance to b a part of this show. It’s just for non vegetarians.”
