
Milind Deora found guilty of violating the Model Code of Conduct
South Mumbai candidate Milind Deora has been found guilty of violating the Model Code of Conduct for his comment on the Jain community. The returning officer has asked for suitable action against Milind Deora. Earlier, the Election Commission had issued a show-cause notice to Milind Deora for his speech during election campaigning. The Commission sought Milind Deora's explanation on how he has not violated the rules of Model Code of Conduct. As per the notice, a complaint was received against Deora's speech on April 2 at a meeting in Mumbai's Zaveri Bazaar.
