No Covid-19 case found in 8 out of 33 districts in Rajasthan in 24 hours

The number of new active coronavirus cases in Rajasthan continued to nosedive on Monday with zero cases reported in eight out of total 33 districts of the state in the last 24 hours.

Following a steady decline over the last few days, the total number of active Covid19 cases in the state has dropped below 6,500.

There are still 6,467 active cases, while 9,34,652 patients have recovered from the viral infection.

Eight of the state's 33 districts reported zero new active coronavirus cases in the 24-hour period. These districts are -- Banswara, Bundi, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jalore, Jhalawar, Rajsamand, and Sawai Madhopur.

Rajasthan on Monday reported 277 fresh Covid-19 cases and 20 deaths. The state's death toll is at 8,842, with a total caseload of 9,49,961, according to Rajasthan's health department.

Rajasthan's capital Jaipur recorded a maximum of 6 new fatalities, followed by Bikaner where 4 patients succumbed to the infection in 24 hours span.

The remaining deaths were reported from other districts.
