Priyanka Chopra is one of those actresses who is making an impact in the West. She will next be seen playing the female lead in Citadel by the Russo Brothers. She is also a mother to a daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. She welcomed Malti in 2022 via surrogacy. Now, in a new podcast, the actress revealed that she had frozen her eggs upon the advice of her mother, who is an obstetrician-gynaecologist. She also added that the biological clock is real and freezing eggs is a way to take the power from it.

While interacting with Dax Shepherd for a podcast, Priyanka revealed that she had frozen her eggs in her 30s. She revealed, "I felt such freedom, I did it in my early thirties and I could continue on an ambitious warpath, I wanted to achieve, and I wanted to get to a certain place in my career. Also, I had not met the person I wanted to have children with. So, with that anxiety-inducing, and with my mom who is an ob-gyn (obstetrician-gynaecologist) going, '36…just do it'."

She also added, "My mom had said this to me, and I did do it for myself as well. I tell all my younger friends that the biological clock is for real. It gets so much harder to get pregnant after 35 and to carry to term and all of that. Especially with women that have been working all our lives. But science is at such an amazing place right now where if you can afford it, I tell people you save money for a car, do it for this Christmas, this is the best gift you will give yourself because you are taking the power of your biological clock. You can work for till however long, your eggs will be of the same age as when you froze them."

Priyanka Chopra is now married to Nick Jonas and the two are one of the most adorable couples. However, Priyanka did not want to date Nick at the beginning. Opening up about the reason, she said, "I always knew I wanted kids and that was one of the reasons I didn't want to date Nick because I was like I don't know if he would want kids at 25. I love kids, I have worked with kids at UNICEF, I have volunteered at kids' hospitals, I am like a kid whisperer, and I would rather spend time with children than with adults. I love kids, all our parties are kids and dogs friendly, at our house, you can bring them anytime."

In the same interview, Priyanka also opened up about why she left Bollywood.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra will next be seen in the Russo Brothers' Citadel. It will premiere on Prime Video on April 28, 2023. The actress will be seen alongside Richard Madden in the series.
