NEW DELHI: Off limits for public during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan museum complex will reopen for tourists and visitors from August 1, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement on Friday.

Visitors to Rashtrapati Bhavan and Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex had been closed from April 14 this year due to COVID-19.

Tours of the Rashtrapati Bhavan will be available on Saturday and Sunday in three pre-booked, hour-long time slots from 10.30 am, 12.30pm and 14.30pm and will accommodate a maximum of 25 visitors per slot.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex, on the other hand, will remain open for six days in a week from Tuesday to Sunday in four time slots between 9.30 am to 3.30 pm. These one and a half hour-long slots will also have to be pre-booked and a maximum of 50 visitors will be allowed, per slot, the Rastrapati Bhavan said.

Slots can be booked online through the Rashtrapati Bhavan website.
