Thai police employed water cannons against pro-democracy protesters in Bangkok on Tuesday, as lawmakers started hearing proposals to amend the nation's constitution.
Hundreds of police officers had been watching over the demonstrators, who had gathered outside Thailand's Parliament for the anti-government rally.
