Shwetha Menon, who is an actor in the Malayam film industry, took to social media to reveal her 'frustrating experience' with Indigo Airlines recently. The actress, who has won Kerala State Film Awards, took to her social media to write about the unpleasant experience. She was flying from Mujmbai to Kochi and received an SMS from the airlines stating that the 12 pm flight had been rescheduled to 1 30 pm. When she arrived at the airport, she found out that the flight had, in fact, taken off at 12 pm itself.

AIRLINES LEAVES PASSENGERS STRANDED

Shwetha Menon wrote on her social media, "Let me tell you the whole story of what happened. It's a frustrating experience that I had with Indigo Airlines @indigo.6e, and I want to share it with you. I had a 12 pm flight (6E-6701) booked from Mumbai to Kochi, which was rescheduled to 1.30 pm as per the SMS received from the airlines. But when I reached the airport, I was shocked to hear that the flight had already taken off at 12 pm! I was not alone; there were around 22 passengers in the same situation as me."

Shwetha and around 22 passengers were stuck at the Mumbai airport and when they asked the indigoN Airlines staff for help, they put them on the 9 pm flight instead of the 5 pm to Kochi.

She added, "Anyway, coming back to the airport, the situation was not handled well by one particular staff at the helpdesk. Instead of providing any assistance, she was trying to put us in the 9 pm flight, even though the 5 pm flight was available. She was not even ready to listen to us and spoke very rudely."

The Indigo Airlines staff member reportedly even  told the passengers to complain to whomever they wanted. "To add insult to injury, she even challenged us to complain wherever we wanted, and that's when I decided to go live on social media. Finally, after a lot of chaos, they made arrangements for us to board the "fully booked" 5 pm Indigo flight 6E-6703. We finally arrived at Kochi airport, and Aswathy and Vishnu from IndiGo6E's Kochi office rendered a personal apology," stated Shwetha Menon.

The Badhal actor hoped that Indigo Airlines would take the necessary steps to avoid such situations in the future.

NETIZENS STATE THIS IS ROUTINE WITH AIRLINE

Many people responded to her post also blaming the airline companies for this sort of behavior, which has apparently become routine now. Netizen Dimple Bahl wrote to her, "This is so common with airlines now, no one is questioning and it's been seen a very regular complains from indigo airlines. Thank you for sharing and making awareness."

Meanwhile, someone called afreenancy_whynotfitness wrote, "This is the issue with every airlines now. I had a bad experience in October with Go air and we were 13 passengers going for the wedding with the bride with us. Imagine how bad it was."
