After incredible losses at the toss in each of the Mumbai Indians' first seven games in the tournament, Harmanpreet Kaur finally won the toss for the first time in the tournament in the Women in Blue's last league stage game of the tournament on Tuesday (March 21) at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium.

RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana was also delighted to see her national team finally winning the toss, and she shared a warm embrace with Harmanpreet Kaur. Mandhana and Harmanpreet's reaction to the toss went viral on social media ahead of the marquee fixture between two of the most popular cricket franchises in the world.

"I thought I'd help her a little today ... but seven [toss losses] is some kind of a record," said Mandhana after the toss. Harmanpreet revealed her delight at winning the toss and stated that she had more people wishing her luck for the toss than the match.

Talking about the match, RCB struggled on the sluggish surface and managed to make a score of just 125 after Harmanpreet decided to bowl first. Elyssa Perry and Richa Ghosh were their highest scorers with knocks of 29 each. Amelia Kerr was the pick of the bowlers for Harmanpreet & co., with three scalps to her name. Both Nat-Sciver Brunt and Issy Wong took two wickets each.

Mumbai made a quick start with openers Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Matthews putting up a 53-run opening partnership before their quick departures, along with the early dismissals of Nat Sciver and Harmanpreet, put the chase back in the balance.

Mumbai's humilating defeat to the Delhi Capitals (DC) meant that they slipped to second place. While they have qualified for the playoffs, they will only be able to seal a direct entry into the finals if they win tonight's game and DC lose to the UP Warriorz later in the day.
