Magnus Carlsen is the reigning Chess World Champion and is on the verge of winning his sixth world title. The 31-year-old Norwegian has broken many records in the last seven-eight years.

On Friday, World No.1 Carlsen took to Twitter to share a chess-related pick-up line that left many fans impressed.

The Norwegian is a renowned name in the world of chess and boasting about his popularity, Carlsen quoted a tweet that was asking users to come up with the best chess-related pick-up line they know.

"Hi. My name is Magnus Carlsen," the current chess World Champion tweeted.

Fans were impressed with Magnus' reply and appreciated the wittiness shown by the Grand Master from Norway.

Carlsen was in the news recently after he lost a match in the online chess tournament, Airthings Masters (R Praggnanandhaa) to a 16-year-old boy from India, R Praggnanandhaa.

Carlsen got his revenge soon as he beat the Indian youngster in the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour event to end Praggnanandhaa's unbeaten run.

After the win over the 16-year-old, Carlsen said that he never doubted his abilities and it was just that the best players have to prove themselves whenever they play.

"I am the best — I don't have any doubt about that, but you gotta prove it when you play!" Carlsen had said after the win that took him to the top of the Oslo Esports Cup chart.
