Good news of the week: 17-yr-old tribal girl runs full marathon, Class IX girl becomes 'Mukhiya'
In your weekly dose of good news, find about a 17-year-old tribal girl Sharda Masram from a small village in Gondia district who stunned Mumbai by completing the 42km Tata Marathon earlier this month. All eyes were on 45-year-old sub-inspector G Pushparani as she pedalled through the narrow and bustling lanes of Sowcarpet amid speeding bikes and bullock carts. A Class IX girl won a quiz contest held on the eve of Republic Day and was made the 'mukhiya' of local panchayat in Rohtas district.
