Kangana Ranaut hits out at Javed Akhtar after appearing before court: ‘Lone warrior facing hyenas'

Kangana Ranaut, who often finds herself gripped in legal trouble recently appeared before the court in the defamation case filed by ace Bollywood writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar. This was the first time since summons was issued to her in February this year. Notably, after issuing multiple summons in the case, the court had last week said that it will issue a warrant against the actress if she fails to appear on the next date of hearing i.e, September 20. Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress while calling herself a 'Lone warrior' dropped a few stylish pictures of her and penned a note claiming that Javed Akhtar filed the case under the pressure of the ruling government of Maharashtra Shiv Sena. Her note reads, 'Remember those who can’t make you, they can’t break you either… Also when in these eyes of the storm…look it in the eye and…POSE...Today was the hearing of the Javed Akhtar case which he filed under Shiv Sena pressure…Lone warrior facing hyenas that too in style…' Earlier, this month while giving a huge setback to the actress, the bench of the Bombay High Court dismissed her plea that sought quashing of the complaint registered against her by lyricist Javed Akhtar during the hearing at the Metropolitan Magistrate's Court and pointed out certain procedural lapses by the Magistrate. However, the court rejected the plea stating that there was no procedural illegality or irregularity in the metropolitan magistrate's order initiating the proceedings. The legal tussle between Kangana Ranaut and veteran writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar's began last year in November when ace writer-lyricist filed a defamation case against the actress alleging that she had made defamatory comments against him in a television interview. In his defamation case, Javed Akhtar stated that he was shocked when he learnt that she had given an interview to a news channel, damaging his 'immaculate reputation by falsely attributing statements to him.' Meanwhile, talking about her work front, she will next be seen in the film 'Dhaakad'.
