
Late legendary actor Pran once opened up about the terror around his name: ‘Not a single boy was named Pran after the 50s’
Pran was known as the most quintessential villain in Bollywood movies during the 60s & 70s. In a 2000 interview, the actor had opened up about the repercussions of playing negative characters in movies. Pran said, ‘Some journalists conducted a survey in schools and colleges in Bombay, Delhi, Punjab, and, UP and found that not a single boy was named Pran after the '50s, just like no one has ever named his son Raavan!’ In the same interview, the legendary actor also said, ‘As a villain, I was so effective that people were scared of me in real life.
