Modi govt compulsorily retires 15 custom officers

Giving a stern message to government employees, the Centre on Tuesday compulsorily retired 15 custom officers, a news agency reported. As per reports, the list comprises of very senior rank officers like principal commissioner, commissioner, additional commissioner and deputy commissioner of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs(CBIC). Prior to this, the government had compulsorily retired 12 income tax officers earlier this month. The officials were facing charges of corruption and professional misconduct. A senior IRS officer, who facing allegations of sexual harassment by two of his juniors, was also asked to retire.
