'Tandav' controversy: Allahabad HC rejects Amazon's Aparna Purohit's anticipatory bail plea
The Allahabad High Court has now rejected the anticipatory bail application filed by a top Amazon Prime Video executive in a case against Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia's web series 'Tandav', saying that the makers have hurt the religious sentiments of a particular community. A single-judge bench of justice Siddharth rejected the application of Amazon Prime Video’s Aparna Purohit in connection with the ongoing investigation against the web series for allegedly outraging religious feelings and showing Hindu gods in a bad light. The court stated that Purohit was granted protection from arrest on February 11, but failed to cooperate with the investigation.
