Thalapathy Vijay files a case against 11 including his parents for using his name for political purpose

One of the highest-paid actors of south cinema, Thalapathy Vijay has reportedly filed a civil lawsuit against 11 people, including his father SA Chandrasekar and his mother Shoba Chandrasekhar, seeking a ban to hold any public gathering or conduct a political meeting by his name. This issue arose when recently the actor's father reportedly registered a political party by the name of the actor. Notably, the veteran director and Vijay's father SA Chandrasekar had registered his son’s fans club Vijay Makkal Iyakkam as a political party called All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam with the Election Commission of India. After this, his fans started wondering and speculation began that the actor is planning to step into politics. However, Vijay categorically denied his association with the political party and issued a statement claiming that he did not consent to start any such party. In his statement, he stated, 'I don't have any connection directly or indirectly with the political statements that my father has issued. I'm not bound to follow my father's political aspirations. I request my fans not to join the party that my father has started. If anyone tries to misuse my name, photo, or my fan clubs for their political aspirations, I will take necessary actions against them.' Meanwhile, on the professional front, after delivering a blockbuster film 'Master' that was released on the occasion of Pongal this January, the actor is keeping up super busy with multiple projects. He is currently working on the film 'Beast', which is directed by Nelson DHilipkumar, and the shooting is happening in a private film city in Chennai. The second schedule of shooting is expected to be wrapped soon, and the team will be taking a short break before they begin their next schedule. Touted to be an action thriller, it stars Pooja Hegde, along with Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, VTV Ganesh and Aparna Das in supporting roles.
