Soldier Lays Flag During Downpour at Arlington National Cemetery

A member of The Old Guard pushed past a torrential downpour and heavy wind in Virginia on May 23 to place a flag honoring fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. The severe weather occurred during the Flags In event, a tradition before Memorial Day when soldiers place American flags at graves in the cemetery. In a video shared by the 3rd US Infantry Regiment, also known as The Old Guard, a soldier is seen walking through heavy rain at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
