Air India pilots refuse to fly unless vaccinated for Covid ‘urgently’

Air India pilots have refused to fly unless the airline gets them ‘urgently’ vaccinated for Covid. The move comes after a large number of AI crew have tested Covid positive in the last one year. The Indian Commercial Pilots Association has said that its members and their families are struggling to get oxygen cylinders. At the moment also 10 AI crew members are quarantined in Rome for 10 days since last Wednesday. Pilots have warnes they will stop work if Air India fails to set up vaccination camps on a Pan India basis. Private airlines like IndiGo have said they will get their employees vaccinated. The Union aviation ministry has asked states to treat aviation workers as a priority segment for Covid jabs.
