Children in Gaza recycle waste to create art

Children in Gaza, with the help of their mothers, were able to recycle household and other environmental waste into interesting artifacts and paintings that are used to decorate homes and public places, as part of the “Its Role Makes You Sweeter” initiative implemented by the Nawar Educational Center of the Association for Culture and Free Thought. The waste consists of damaged rubber tires, cartons, notebook paper, damaged textbooks, nylon, plastic, wood sticks, empty cans, damaged pieces of cloth, and several types of environmental and household waste. About 20 children with 10 mothers recycled these damaged equipment and made paintings, pendants and beautiful chairs that are used as antiques indoors. They underwent workshops where they learned these technical skills.
