
Cyclone Nivar: Storm surge increases, currently centred over southwest Bay of Bengal
Severe cyclonic storm Nivar is expected to bring heavy rainfall to Chennai on Wednesday evening. IMD predicts it will make landfall between Mamallapuram and Karaikal. As of 1430 hrs on Tuesday, it was centred over southwest Bay of Bengal.
