From Alia Bhatt to Sidharth Malhotra, Bollywood celebrates reopening of theatres in Maharashtra; Prabhas sends biryani to Saif-Kareena

Giving major relief to the filmmakers and cinema lovers, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has finally announced that the theatres in the state will be reopened from the next month with a tweet that reads 'Theatres and auditoriums in Maharashtra will open after 22nd October 2021 while observing all COVID safety protocols. SOP is in the works and will be declared soon.' Expressing their happines, several B-Town celebs also took to their social media handles to react to this news. While Varun Dhawan, added a gif of himself dancing on the post featuring this news, her co-actress in a couple of films and friend Alia Bhatt added gif of an animated character celebrating. Janhvi Kapoor shared the post as well and wrote, 'Can this be true?' Malaika Arora also welcomed the news with a hoot. Film 'Shershaah' actor Sidharth Malhotra also expressed his happiness on this happy news. As soon as the announcement of the theatres reopening was announced by the state government, Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar also announced the release date of their long-delayed film, 'Sooryavanshi'. Taking to his Instagram handle, Karan shared a picture of Rohit and Uddhav Thackeray and penned an announcement note that reads, 'Theatres to open in Maharashtra effective from the the 22nd of October…. Finally we can say AA RAHI HAI POLICE!!! #Sooryavanshi A @itsrohitshetty film! This DIWALI!!!!!' On the other hand, South superstar Prabhas will be next featuring in Om Raut's mega-budget film 'Adipurush', co-starring Saif Ali Khan. The south actor, who likes to feed his co-stars, recently sent a delicious biryani at Saif's house. While Saif is not on social media, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan is an avid social media user and hence gave a glimpse of the delicious meal sent by the 'Baahubali' star out there. Along with a picture, she even penned a thank you note for the south actor as she wrote, 'When Baahubali sends you biryani, it's gotta be the best. Thank you @actorprabhas for this insane meal, followed by a red heart emoji. #Adipurush'.
