Around 50 of patients with severe COVID 19 after discharge from hospital show raised levels of a protein called troponin which cause damage to their hearts At least a month after discharge the injury was detected thorugh magnetic resonance imaging MRI scans These new findings have been published in the European Heart Journal Damage
