Shocking! Couple attempts self-immolation to protest police inaction in murder of daughter

A couple from Odisha’s Nayagarh district attempted self-immolations outside the assembly on Tuesday. They were protesting against police inaction and delay in the arrest of the killers of their 5-year-old daughter. The couple allege that the police shielded the accused, who are close associates of a minister. The Congress has raised the issue in the assembly as well.
