In the fourth phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, the demands of the Rajbongshis, who call themselves "bhoomiputra" (sons of the soil) of the erstwhile princely state, could be the deciding factor. In the battle for the 54 seats in North Bengal, TMC is trying to regain lost grounds, whereas BJP's plan is to hold on to its gains from the 2019 LS elections.
