When Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor were tied to a pillar to make them talk to each other on the sets of 'Andaz Apna Apna'

Andaz Apna Apna is one of the cult classics of Indian cinema and its fan following has only increased over the years. The film that released on November 4, 1994, completes 20 years today. Each scene and dialogue from this film has become iconic. From classes to the masses, everybody loved Aamir Khan and Salman Khan's banter in the film. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, this comedy film also starred Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. But did you know that none of the stars were talking to each other while shooting? In a past interview, Raveena Tandon had revealed that there was much tension while they shot the film. However, she had fun while shooting for the same. On one hand, where Aamir and Salman were not on talking terms, on the other, even Raveena and Karisma were not talking to each other. Raveena had told, 'It was fun as while we were shooting, none of us were speaking to each other. Sabke jhagade chal rahe the. Aamir and Salman weren’t talking to each other. Karisma and I weren’t talking and neither were Salman and Rajji (Rajkumar Santoshi). I don’t know how that film got made. But, it shows we are damn good actors.' She also revealed how Aamir and Salman tried to mend bridges between her and Karisma in a hilarious way. She told, 'The boys tried to bring Karisma and me together. In fact, in the climax, there’s a scene where Karishma and I are tied to a pillar. Rajji said, ‘We won’t untie you, unless you talk to one another’. It was all so funny. I remember, while shooting scenes, we would all genuinely laugh a lot as the dialogues were so hilarious. Hamne maze bhi kiye aur jhagde bhi kiye.' Raveena also said now after two decades of the film's release, she is on good terms with Karisma, Aamir and Salman.
