Boarding school closed after students come down with fever, cough
KUALA LUMPUR: A boarding school in Subang Jaya, Selangor has been ordered to close by the Petaling district health office (PKD) following a possibile virus spread, suspected to be Influenza A.
The school administrator, had this morning, sent out messages to parents and guardians asking them to pick their children up after a premises closure notice was issued by the Petaling PKD yesterday.
This was after the school reported cases of students, living in the hostel coming down with fever, cough and diarrhoea, to the Petaling PKD.
The message read that Petaling PKD, which investigated the matter yesterday, said the infection might stem from a yet to be identified virus, likely to be Influenza A.
It also said that the school's operations would be halted until further notice to curb the potential virus spread.
