Honor 8C features eye Cat-ching design

KUALA LUMPUR: Honor, an e-brand smartphone announced its latest member in the Honor C-series line-up, the Honor 8C. The new smartphone raises the bar for entry-level phones by providing advanced features at only RM 599.

Zhao Zhiwei, Head of Honor Malaysia said: “It is our mission at Honor to make the best possible smartphones accessible for all Malaysians and this Honor 8C is a smartphone that offers industry-forward features for the cost-conscious consumers.”

Comes with a 6.26-inch notch 19:9 FullView Display, the Honor 8C has an 86.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio offering an immersive movie and gaming experience and the phone’s 7.98mm thick body ensure a comfortable grip for its user.

Powered by octa-core Snapdragon 632 processor, the phone supports smart user interface of EMUI 8.2 for smoother, faster experience. And, with the 4,000 mAh battery, Honor claims that the 8C would allow users up to two days of use on a single charge without worrying about running out of battery.

The Honor 8C continues with Honor’s dedication in design aesthetics and will be available in three different colours—blue, gold and black and is said to be the first phone to introduce cat’s eye effect—a silky gem-like glow created by the band of reflected light that moves and shifts when viewed from different angles and it is available for its blue variation.

Also comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, expandable storage supporting up to 256GB, and three independent card slots allowing two SIM cards and an SD memory card at the same time, the phone also packed with AI-powered dual-lens 13MP + 2MP rear camera with large F/1.8 aperture capable of recognising up to an amazing 500 scenarios in 22 different categories, and its 8MP front camera offers selfie-toning soft flash with augmented reality (AR) with emoji creation capability.

Also revealed at the event was Honor 8C Malaysia brand ambassador, a British short-hair 5 months old kitten. In conjunction with the reveal, Honor Malaysia is calling Malaysians to name the Honor 8C catbassador and get a chance at winning a brand new Honor 8C phone.
