Prasarana new CEO reshuffles top team

KUALA LUMPUR: Prasarana Malaysia Bhd boss Masnizam Hisham is making several changes in her senior management team barely a month after taking over the helm at the Government controlled urban public transport company.

Masnizam, 46, had succeeded Datuk Sri Azmi Abdul Aziz, whose contract had ended on Dec 31, as the group’s president and CEO on Jan 18.

She was previously the chief executive officer (CEO) at Prasarana Integrated Management & Engineering Services Sdn Bhd (Prime),

Taking over her previous role at Prime is Ahmad Sazali Ismail, who was previously Prasarana’s chief risk officer.

In an internal memo seen by StarBiz, Masnizam had also appointed Ezwan Hazli Abdul Malek as group director of special projects. He was

Prasarana chief strategy and transformation officer.

Ezwan’s former post will be taken over by chief financial officer Megat Khairulazhar Khairodin.

Replacing Khairulazhar at the group’s finance division will be Mohd Rafizee Abdul Rahman.

The new appointments are effective March 1.

Prasarana manages the operations of Light Rail Transit (LRT), Monorail, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Rapid buses, Penang ferries and the Rapid Transit System between Malaysia and Singapore.

The goup has six subidiaries - Prime, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, Prasarana Integrated Development Sdn Bhd (Pride), Prasarana Rail and Infrastructure Projects Sdn Bhd (Praise), and Prasarana Integrated Solution and Management Sdn Bhd (Prism).
