
Anwar calls for greater private sector, GLC participation in TVET
In a bid to intensify Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has suggested that the private sector and government-linked companies (GLCs) step up their involvement and cooperation in such efforts. Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, told a press conference after chairing the weekly Cabinet meeting on Thursday (Feb 2), adding that this was important to meet the needs of industries and resolve problems like mismatch between the training provided and industry requirements as well as unsatisfactory facilities.
