
Hundreds of lawyers join walk for the independence of the judiciary
Hundreds of lawyers have started gathering for a march against alleged attempts to undermine the judiciary at the parking lot of Padang Merbok, near Parliament, since about 9am. Seen among the crowd of mostly black and white suits were former attorney-general Tommy Thomas, former Malaysian Bar president Ambiga Sreenevasan, as well as Bar Council president Karen Cheah as the organiser of the gathering.
