Motorsport eRacing GP Final | Malaysian Naquib Azlan crowned | New champion of Asia's eRacing GP

STORYLINE: Malaysia's Naquib Azlan was crowned the new champion of Asia's eRacing GP on Sunday. The 20-year-old held off a fierce challenge by Australia's Josh Purwein to take the title for the first time after three times being runner-up in the competition. Purwein was second in the standings just 7 points adrift after a 10-race season. Naquib went into the 2-race final round with an 11-point lead over Purwein, and those two came 1st and 2nd in the opening race around the virtual Zandvoort Circuit. The potential drama came in the "reverse grid" second race when Purwein shot to the lead and Naquib was left trailing in 8th place early on, knowing that he needed a top 6 placing at least to avoid losing the title on the last race. But the Malaysian kept his nerve to come home in third behind Purwein to clinch the title. #golokpurbazar #motorsport #eRacingGP
