Restaurants can open until 10pm starting Friday

The government today decided to extend the operating hours for food and beverage businesses in states that are under the movement control order (MCO) to 10pm daily. Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob in announcing the decision this evening said the new rule will be in force from tomorrow. According to him, the decision was made after relevant ministries and agencies deliberated on the issue, following numerous complaints they received from the public recently.
