
Time to decriminalise medicinal use of cannabis, says Syed Saddiq
Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, who heads the Parliamentary caucus to study regulations on medical cannabis and ketum, on Wednesday (May 18) said it was time for Malaysia to amend its law to decriminalise the use of medicinal marijuana. He spoke to reporters at the Petaling Jaya court after showing moral support to nasyid artist Muhammad Yasin Sulaiman, who has been charged with cultivating cannabis plants and trafficking 214 grams of drugs. Yasin has said that cannabis helped treat his bipolar disorder.
