US Senator Chris Murphy begged his colleagues on Tuesday (May 24) to pass gun control legislation, after 19 children and two adults were killed in an elementary school shooting. Before his election to the Senate, Murphy represented the Connecticut congressional district where a gunman killed 26 young children and educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.
