Road & Track Logo By Connor Hoffman of Road & Track | Slide 1 of 8: UPDATE 7/13/21: Toyota shared a short video showing the new Tundra's moonroof and sliding rear window. CORRECTION 7/9/21: This story has been revised to clarify Tundra and Ford F-series sales numbers.Toyota is getting ready to introduce the next generation Tundra full-size pickup, and it'll need to make a statement to compete with popular American pickups such as the Chevy Silverado, Ford F-150, and Ram 1500. It sold nearly 110,000 Tundras last year. Ford sold 787,422 F-series trucks although that number is for the entire Ford F-series truck lineup, not just the F-150. In order to catch up with those trucks, the new Tundra will need to be more attractive than the current generation, which debuted over a decade ago, have a nicer interior with a larger touchscreen, and potentially even offer a hybrid powertrain. Toyota has already shared a few details on the 2022 Tundra, including this official photo of the off-road-focused TRD Pro model, and this is what we know so far about the new truck, which should arrive by the end of the year:
