James Reid, who’s filming an upcoming movie and who will star in a new TV series, is also judging in the show. The multi nominated and award-winning singer-songwriter, Moira dela Torre, who’s been remarkable because of the genre of her songs is also part of the panel of judges.

Out of the four judges, only Vice Ganda was handpicked by the owner of the global format, Fremantle. The reveal received mixed reactions on Social Media. Take a look at some of the reactions we’ve got from Twitter:

ABC Development Corporation (TV5) first got the franchise in 2006 with Mau Marcelo as its Grand Winner followed by GMA Network in 20018 which titled it ‘Pinoy Idol’ with Grand Winner Gretchen Espina. This year, Fremantle completed a deal with ABS-CBN for the new ‘Search for the Idol Philippines’.

The show was originally created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller.
