Catch the Singapore Festival Of Fun

March is shaping up to be an exciting month across the Causeway with the return of the Singapore Festival Of Fun. The three-day event will take place from March 8 to 18.

In its second year now, the festival this time around comprises Magners International Comedy Festival (March 8 to11), Nickelodeon Fiesta (March 10 to 11) and Clarke Quay StreetFest (March 13 to 18). Visitors can expect acts from Britain’s famed Covent Garden street theatre, Nickelodeon characters and award-winning comedians.

Clarke Quay centre manager Adrian Lai said this year’s lineup will provide fun and entertainment for the whole family.

Fans of comedy will laugh out loud to comedic acts such as Doug Stanhope, Yuriko Kotani, Jim Brewski and Brian Aylward at the. The “rivalry” between Malaysia and Singapore will also be tested in a showdown among comedians from both countries.

Meanwhile, the Nickelodeon Fiesta will celebrate Singaporean’s passion for food with nine culinary-themed game booths. There will also be photo opportunities with charactersfrom SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and and PAW Patrol.

For some spectacular street performance, check out the Quay StreetFest. Gather around Clarke Quay’s Fountain Square to witness shows that features a mix of acrobatics, escapology and dare devil acts.

This year, Guinness World Record holder and escapologist Rob Roy Collins returns to the festival with a brand new “escape from chains” routine. Another notable act is Jump Stilts Extreme, a bionic duo of professional stilt jumpers, who will somersault and perform tricks at great heights.

With a plethora of world-class acts gathered at Clarke Quay, the Singapore Festival Of Fun is an event not to be missed.
