It's hard to recover lost belongings—much less items that have made their way overseas.

When local actress Ya Hui realised that her AirPods Pro had travelled from Singapore to a suburban town in Perth, Western Australia with her, getting them back was the last thing on her mind.

However, thanks to the kindness of two Singaporean men based in Australia, the actress will be seeing her AirPods again soon.

AirPods in Australia?

For some context, Ya Hui had been filming a Mediacorp drama in Jewel Changi when she accidentally left her pouch containing her AirPods Pro behind.

However, she was able to track the gadget with Apple's Find My app.

Ya Hui then took to her Instagram Story to share updates on the whereabouts of her AirPods, and the earpieces eventually landed in a small town in Perth, Western Australia.

How she got it back

The news caught the attention of two Singaporean men living in Perth, who decided to help Ya Hui find her lost AirPods on their own accord.

Aside from being a celebrity, Ya Hui was practically a stranger to them—the men were not at all obligated to chase down the AirPods at all.

Back in Singapore, Ya Hui was having dinner with her niece when she received a message from one of the men, Ricky, via Instagram.

Speaking to Mothership, the actress recounts how shocked she was when she realised that the pair had recovered her AirPods:

"I got goosebumps all over... It's really unbelievable. How is it possible to get it back?"

She continued that her AirPods were brand new when she lost them, which was why she wanted to share her feelings on Instagram.

Aside from expressing her feelings, Ya Hui never expected to have her AirPods found and returned when she first posted about it.

"It [felt] like striking Toto when my AirPods were found," she laughed.
