Anchorage Wildlife Enthusiast Spots Pair of Moose 'Sparring'

Wildlife enthusiast Todd List captured footage showing two moose “sparring” close to Anchorage, Alaska, posting the moment to Facebook on November 30. List’s footage shows the animals locking horns, and was posted to the Alaska Wildlife Facebook group. He told Storyful that the moment was actually recorded in October 2019 and that he found the video “on last year’s memory card on an older camera I rarely use now.” “During the fall here in Alaska there is a large contingent of moose that gather in the mountain valleys,” the Anchorage native said, adding that he captured the moment in the “foothills” of the region. List told Storyful that despite the moose being relatively small, no matter how big the animal is “the sound of their antlers cracking together is something only nature can provide and is amazing to observe.” Credit: Todd List via Storyful
